European Federation of Journalists creates funds to support journalists in Ukraine
Journalists who cover the frontlines need first aid kits, flak jackets and helmets, and medical supplies. The International Federation of Journalists and the European Federation of Journalists have created a dedicated #UkraineSafetyFund.
The money raised and donations made in the framework of the European Federation of Journalists ppeal for solidarity with journalists and other media professionals in Ukraine will be spent in coordination with IFJ affiliates NUJU and IMTUU on the following needs
• Purchase of personal protection equipment: bullet-proof waistcoats, helmets etc.
• Communication (phones, cards, etc.) and other working tools for journalists (laptops)
• To finance evacuation operations when and if necessary for journalists and their dependants;
• To buy medicine kits for journalists in case of injuries during their reporting
