What’s new in 2018?
Online registration for the CEPIC Congress starts today and we look forward to welcoming old and new faces in the picture industry.
Based on last year’s feedback and the registration figures, CEPIC decided to stay in Berlin to let you take advantage of uncomplicated, affordable flight connections, as well as the wide range of accommodation possibilities that Berlin offers. Enough has been said in previous years about the attraction of the city, especially in the warm months of the year, and we know from our delegates that they enjoy coming back to the German capital.
All in all, it’s a great city for business, networking and fun.
But that’s not everything. Every year, the CEPIC Congress consolidates its position as the largest event in commercial still and moving images in the world by increasing its audience with a rich and varied programme, renowned speakers and by providing a valuable and unique insight into the industry.
This year, with a strong emphasis on the future, the Exhibitors Day for Innovative Businesses in the visual sector will be a new exciting feature to our programme. On Wednesday, 30 May, the CEPIC Congress will dedicate a separate space for innovative businesses to tell their stories and reach not only regular Congress attendees but also professional photographers and picture buyers. The Exhibitors Day includes an area for 9 Exhibitor Stands and Panels – co-organized by the Exhibitors – on inspirational topics, such as blockchain, setting up a new business or and new ways to license images. On top of that, registered exhibitors and photographers will have access to pitch presentation slots in order to reach a wider audience.
While the Table and Lunch Area will remain exclusive for traditional Congress networking (picture agencies), delegates are invited to participate and connect with the new audiences in the Exhibitors Area.
Thursday will be dedicated to Standards and Best Business Practices in the picture industry. We will open the day with the morning session of the 12th edition of the IPTC Conference, followed by a seminar on online marketing for picture agencies.
And on Friday we will bring the Future of Cultural Heritage into focus with two workshops. One will be devoted to the Curation of Cultural Heritage with Modern Technologies.
On Thursday, after the IPTC afternoon session, we invite all CEPIC Congress delegates to the Annual Industry Party to experience and enjoy Berlin’s history and relaxed vibe from a new perspective. The venue of the Party, our main social event, will be announced soon.
As usual, the Table Area with its 70 exhibitors tables and the Lunch/Breakout area will be open ready for networking from Wednesday to Friday for all delegates with full Congress registration.
See you in Berlin!
