At the European Parliament on the possible EU copyright reform

Sylvie Fodor for CEPIC will participate as a “highlighted participant” in the debate/ conference DIGITAL DATA IN THE EU – HAPPILY EVER AFTER OR CONTENT UNAVAILABLE.

The conference is organsied by the S&D, the group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialist and Democrats at the European Parliament.

The event taking place on Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm will hold discussions around a possible copyright reform in the EU, where we are at this point, what our current options are, and also what solutions can be considered in the long term.

The panels are focused mainly on the following dimensions: the policy makers’ perspective, the political view, academic insight and civil society representation, while a series of highlighted participants from across the cultural sectors are invited to participate in the debate.
