Leadership shift highlights SuperStock's commitment to expansion
SuperStock announced today that Alan Bailey will assume the role of CEO and departing CEO, Lanny Ziering will take over the position of Chairman of RGB Ventures, the parent company of SuperStock.
Mr. Ziering will focus on acquisitions, strategic alliances, and emerging technologies.
Mr. Bailey will assume responsibility for all SuperStock operations in the US and UK. He is a founding partner of RGB Ventures and of Rubberball Productions and has previously served on the board of the Picture Archive Council of America (PACA) as Secretary. Bailey will continue to serve on the RGB Ventures board.
The changes to SuperStock's executive team mark the achievement of RGB's growth strategy to firmly establish SuperStock as a leader in the industry and will allow the company to increase its focus on both new initiatives and continued expansion. Acquired in 2009, SuperStock's expansion is evidenced in the building of its collection to its current 8.8 million images, the growth of its direct sales teams in the US and UK, as well as its recent acquisition of the specialty agency Science Faction.
Mr. Ziering said today, Despite the many changes in the stock photo industry, SuperStock's growth over the last three years has been driven by our staff's focus on delivering superlative images and superior service to our customers. We'll be exploring new ways to expand our product and service offerings.
When we acquired SuperStock in 2009 we were impressed by the skills and commitment of the staff and our many contributors said Mr. Bailey. They are why we've experienced the success that we have and will no doubt be what defines our future. I look forward to working closely with this team as we continue to drive SuperStock's growth.
