Join us at WIPO’s headquarters for what promises to be a lively discussion on the future of music.  Featuring Senegalese rap star Didier Awadi, Argentinian tango singer Susana Rinaldi, Norwegian jazz musician Bendik Hofseth, and panelists from across the global music industry.  The roundtable will be followed by the exhibition inauguration and reception (below).  Please register to participate in this event. Exhibition: It’s Always Rock and Roll: The Work of Photojournalist Janet Macoska

On loan from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and co-sponsored by the Mission of the United States of America to the United Nations in Geneva, this exhibition in the atrium of the New Building features 40 great photographs of iconic rock stars.

April 21 from 18:30 – Inauguration of the Exhibition (following the roundtable above – registration required) in the presence of US Ambassador H.E. Ms. Pamela Hamamoto and Director General, Francis Gurry.  It will be followed by a reception.  US jazz-funk-soul musician J Metro will play live at the inauguration event.

World IP Day Film Festival

WIPO and the Cinémas du Gruetli, celebrate World IP Day with a selection of memorable films about music and musicians from around the world.  Entry is free.  Here you can find the program.
