We hope you have been keeping well and safe.
CEPIC has been observing the national and international development regarding Covid-19 very closely over the last weeks and months. Ensuring the safety of all our delegates, exhibitors and staff has been our top priority.
Together with the Congress venue in Mallorca – the Gran Melia Victoria hotel, we have explored all possibilities to implement the CEPIC Congress in September. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and the responses from governments and health authorities in every country are constantly changing.
This uncertainty makes it very difficult for CEPIC to work effectively on the organization of a successful Congress with an interesting programme and a busy networking area. Furthermore, while news from Spain and other European countries allow for cautious optimism, we can’t exclude an increase in COVID-19 cases once people start travelling to other countries for business or pleasure.
It is in this force majeure scenario that CEPIC has decided to postpone the CEPIC Congress 2020 to 2021 in the same city, Palma de Mallorca, and in the same venue, the Gran Melià Victoria hotel.
The new CEPIC Congress dates are from 19 to 21 May 2021. Three days of Congress as usual.
If you had registered for CEPIC 2020, we will transfer your registration to 2021 automatically.
Delegates who booked and paid for a room at the Gran Melià Victoria will get their rooms transferred to the new dates at no cost. Please note that there will be no refund in case of cancellation.
We hope this news is a relief to all our delegates, sponsors and partners, especially to those who contacted us in the last weeks concerned about the feasibility of a CEPIC Congress in September 2020 and the implications of travelling abroad this year.
As in previous years, CEPIC will work enthusiastically to bring you the best and largest event for picture agencies, technology providers and picture professionals worldwide.
Registration for the CEPIC Congress 2021 will begin in January 2021.
