We are delighted to announce Alexandru Giboi as the moderator for our conference on Authenticity in News, in partnership with the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA). With a distinguished background in journalism and international strategic management, Alexandru brings a wealth of expertise to our event.
Currently serving as the Secretary General of EANA, Alexandru was elected by the General Assembly in 2018 and reelected in 2021. Prior to his role at EANA, he served as the General Director and President of the Directors’ Council of AGERPRES, the Romanian National News Agency. His extensive experience also includes leadership positions in various news agency associations, including ABNA-SE, where he served as Secretary General. In addition to his leadership roles, Alexandru is a lecturer on International Strategic Management at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland. He has delivered speeches and presentations at universities and international events across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Alexandru is the co-founder of Evolution Consulting, a Swiss business intelligence company, and serves as the honorary president of the Evolution Society, a Swiss NGO focused on media development in developing countries.
