Last year the public was given total and open access to what Simon Chaplin, Head of the Wellcome Library called “a dizzying visual record of centuries of human culture… As a strong supporter of open access, we want to make sure these images can be used and enjoyed by anyone without restriction”. ‘Traditional Licensing in The Creative Commons Landscape’, will look at the new business models and fast changing digital environment, including open source, open access and Creative Commons, and the impact of these on the cultural heritage sector and how the sector manages its business.
