Ari Abelson is the co-founder of OpenOrigins leading growth and product strategy. His mission is to build trust back into media, politics and science. Prior to OpenOrigins, Ari worked in digital culture and research spaces. Notably, he worked with Moonshot CVE and LSHTM, collaborating on global mis/disinformation research into political influence and vaccine confidence for military clients and leading universities. He has prior experience in both web2 and Web3 startups and co-founded Flocal, a platform fostering hyper-local in-person communities. Ari holds an MSc from LSE, is a published writer and has spoken at conferences on the topics of content authenticity, including Press Gazette, SuperAI and the Online News Association.
