In January 2025 CEPIC has set up a working group around the concept of "Authenticity".
The aim of the working group is to establish CEPIC guidelines around the concept of authenticity. The guidelines will:
1. Provide a definition of authenticity.
2. Outline the importance of having trustworthy and authentic images
3. Provide a list of tools for fact-checking, verifying authenticity, etc.
4. Make recommendations (projects, C2PA, etc.)
5. Provide some rules (policy)

Meetings will take place approximately every two weeks.
In terms of deadlines, the group aims to present the results of the working grozp at CEPIC 2025 in Juan les Pins in May 2025.
