Estelle Blaschke, together with her colleagues, and the Armin Linke Studio team, are seeking to attend the CEPIC Congress in aid of documenting this important and devoting turning point in a historical moment of new possibilities and technologies of distribution of photography and visual content.

Estelle Blaschke is a historian of photography working in the intersection between art and media history, the history of science and cultural history. She is interested in the circulation of images, image infrastructures, and concepts of photography as information technology. She is working on the history of microfilm at the University of Lausanne and teaching photography history and theory at ECAL. Estelle Blaschke is also a member of the editorial committee of the journal Transbordeur. Photographie, Histoire, Société and part of the artistic collaborations The Migrant Image Research Group and Double Bound Economies.
Armin Linke is a photographer and filmmaker whose body of work analyzes the formation of our natural, technological, and urban environment. Throughout his twenty-year career, Linke's work has investigated how mankind uses technology and knowledge to transform and develop the Earth's surface. His films and photographs are observations of the changes humans have made to the land, oceans, and biosphere. Linke was collaborating with The University for Architecture and Technology ETH Zürich and has served as a Research Affiliate at MIT Visual Arts Program Cambridge, guest professor at the IUAV Arts and Design University in Venice, and professor for photography at the University for Arts and Design Karlsruhe.
Linke’s work was exhibited in many of the most important venues of contemporary art, such as at Centre Pompidou, Paris, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin, Tate Gallery, London, Fotomuseum, Winterthur, Centre de la Photographie, Geneva, and Ludwig Forum for International Art, Aachen, among others. His multimedia installations were presented at several Venice Biennales of Architecture, where his film Alpi was awarded with a Special Prize for best work in the Episodes section in 2004.
The final results of the research will be presented in form of a multimedia installation and publication in the context of the latest developments of distribution technology of photography in established contemporary art institutions and universities.
