According to officials, the 25 rivals will not be included in the negotiation, as the two market tests have been seen as enough opportunity for the EU Commission to understand their needs and wants. Joaquin Almunia will not involve any of the organizations anymore, in spite of all the work done until now during the entire process.
Google will probably benefit from a deal very similar to the one already struck in the US, and will thus escape EU sanctions and fines, which could have amounted to $5 billion.
