20/20 Software announces integration with SmartFrame as an enhancement to the 20/20 platform

Stamford, Connecticut — 24 August, 2020: 20/20 Software, a leading supplier of websites and media management software to media libraries, museums, institutions, corporations, newspapers, and photographers worldwide, has announced the integration of SmartFrame Technologies’ unique image-streaming technology into the 20/20 Software platform.

The SmartFrame technology will integrate with 20/20 Software’s multi-media e-commerce platform, where clients organize, display, and search their media assets and operate a sophisticated media portal or e-commerce website.

“We’re pleased to add SmartFrame’s exciting technology to our extensive web and DAMS offerings,” says Don Resnick, President and CEO of 20/20 Software, Inc. “SmartFrame will allow our clients to display higher resolution images without fear of loss, to allow users to zoom in on fine detail, and in addition, to add potential sources of revenue to their images that go beyond the website itself.”

SmartFrame’s image-streaming technology allows content owners to encrypt and securely publish their images online. This opens up the possibility of publishing images at a higher resolution than usual, which enables better detail display and facilitates instant magnification through the company’s Hyper Zoom feature. In line with other audio- and video-streaming services, the nature of image delivery prohibits any unauthorized access to the copyright holder’s original content.

Currently employed by a range of organizations, brands, and individual content creators, SmartFrame’s image-streaming platform also furnishes users with data on image views and interactions, which helps them to better understand how viewers choose to interact with their work. Furthermore, through an optional in-image advertising feature, 20/20 Software’s clients can easily monetize existing images to broaden their revenue streams.

“Over the last four decades, 20/20 Software has built up an enviable reputation across its client base, and especially across stock image, corporate, and heritage markets, who represent an integral audience for SmartFrame,“ explains Rob Sewell, CEO of SmartFrame Technologies. “In developing our technology, we have been focused on providing content owners with the ability to control and protect their image content – wherever it resides online – along with the ability to generate new forms of monetization. Given that 20/20 Software’s clients are already focused on maximizing the value and licensing potential of their digital content, the partnership makes complete sense.”

SmartFrame is currently available as part of the 20/20 Software platform.
