Capture further strengthens its team, with two senior hires

Capture Ltd, a leading provider of Digital Asset Management solutions, is delighted to announce the appointment of two senior members of the team: Peter Shackleton as Commercial Director, and Mark Hughes as Head of Software Engineering.

The hires reflect Capture’s ongoing investment in its people, supporting its continued growth and furthering Capture’s mission of elevating the value of Capture customers’ digital assets, through a unique combination of a powerful platform bolstered by a professional services offering, from a team of digital and content experts. Both hires bring a wealth of insight and knowledge to benefit the teams they now lead, and ultimately Capture’s ecosystem of clients, partners, and communities.

Peter joins Capture from SmartFrame where he has spent the last 3 years as their Business Development Director, establishing the image streaming technology. Peter now leads Capture’s Sales & Marketing team, the development and implementation of Capture’s commercial strategy and ultimately driving Capture’s continued growth.

With over 20 years of Commercial experience, Peter’s ventures in the image, video and technology industries have led to an impressive knowledge of the digital media space.

Peter said, “as a partner, I have had the privilege of working closely with Capture over the last 2 years and have very much admired their work. Their technology, their people and the esteem their clients hold them in truly sets them apart and offers the potential to establish Capture as the leading platform for clients that commercialise digital content. As a result, I am very much looking forward to working with the team and I can’t wait to get stuck in and help realise that potential.”

Furthermore, Capture welcomes Mark Hughes as Head of Software Engineering. Active in the role since November 2021, Mark manages Capture’s technical team, leading Capture’s efforts to evolve the product delivered to clients, building out an innovative and challenging roadmap.

Mark has over 25 years of development experience working most recently as Head of Partnerships, Development and Integrations at CV-Library, where he spent seven years. Mark started his career with Progress Software, before moving into consultancy.

Speaking of the changes, CEO, Nick Caw, notes:

“Capture aspires to be a world-class market leader in our field. This can only be achieved through investing in great talent. I am pleased Peter and Mark have come onboard at what is an exciting time for us, and their experience is invaluable. Having hit the ground running, and it’s great to see their momentum translating into positive change already.”
