Founded in 2002 by a group of photographers from Toulouse, after 13 years of existence the festival ManifestO has established itself as a major event photography in France (16.000 visitors, 2014). This year taking place from 18th September to 3rd October in Toulouse.
At ManifestO a selection of contemporary photography creation will be disclosed, one of ManifestO’s objectivees is to provide visibility and opportunities for creative photographers through a high-profile festival. The festival is open to all photographers, no matter age, nationality or status. Nevertheless applications will be reviewed by a high quality professional jury. Photographers will be chosen by the jury based on the quality of their artistic practice and the relevance of their work. The jury’s decision is final and cannot be subject to any appeal.
A dozen or winners are selected each year by an independent jury of professionals and personalities from the art business. Every year a renown photographer is invited to the festival. His high quality photographic work is shown to a wide international audience.
Manifesto also offers free and accessible to all events, such as conferences, meetings with artists, hosting school visits and performances in a period of time of 2 weeks and 3 weekends.
