SAPHIR is the trade association of news picture agencies in France. It brings together 12 agencies, including AFP, AP, Reuters.
SAPHIR is a member of the French Federation of Press Agencies (FFAP). It is chaired by Christophe Mansier (Max PPP Agency).
Motivation for becoming a CEPIC member :
Strength comes from unity. To be united and speak with one voice, to defend copyright on the one hand and respect for competition law on the other, particularly with regard to Internet platforms.
SAPHIR is very present on the national scene, but less so at European level. Membership of CEPIC will strengthen links, exchanges of information and the exchange of views and positions.
