The Union des Photographes Professionnels (Professional Photographers’ Union) is the main French association of professional photographers.
Its mission is to promote photographers’ rights, to support better business practices and to defend the interests of professional photographers.
It represents photographers – whatever their status – in public debate and in governmental and international instances.
It studies all social, economic and legal questions regarding the profession of photographers.
It pays particular attention to the respect of copyright, as defined by the French Intellectual Property Code.
