YPA Hosting First Fundraising Gala November 5th at Morgan Library

A special red carpet event is happening soon at the beautiful Morgan Library and Museum.

New York, NY – October 10, 2014 – A special red carpet event is happening soon at the beautiful Morgan Library and Museum. On November 5th, Young Photographers Alliance will be hosting their 2014 Fundraising Gala. Initiated by YPA President Bob Hendriks, a well-known photographer in his own right, this inaugural event will demonstrate the necessity and demand for nurturing photography as a method of visual storytelling. These young artistic talents face a competitive industry, and many lack the knowledge and resources to navigate it. YPA answers this dilemma through educational and networking opportunities that both help these photographers grow as artists, but also as prepared professionals.

Attendees will be privy to a special exhibit of top selected works from YPA’s scholarship recipients and mentoring participants. Speeches, entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and photo opportunities will surely make the night one to remember!

Furthermore, official YPA Awards will be announced during the evening. They include a Lifetime Achievement Award to be presented for the first time to world renowned photographer, David LaChapelle. Eugene Mopsik, current Executive Director of ASMP, will be receiving the YPA Legend Award as well.

To ensure that this inaugural gala event is a success YPA is actively looking for sponsors, so we can continue to provide the resources that have benefited so many up-and-coming photographers. Information on how to become a sponsor can be found here http://www.youngphotographersalliance.org/2014-gala.php). By becoming a sponsor you not only get the opportunity to bring exposure to your company, but you are also contributing to the future of the arts.

For anyone who wishes to attend and enjoy this wonderful event, tickets can only be purchased prior to the event. Prices vary depending on whether you are a student, a supporter of the arts, or if you prefer full VIP access.

Should you have any inquiries regarding the gala, please contact YPA President Bob Hendriks (bob@ypaus.org), Robert (rjv@rjvcom.com) or Katia (kc@rjvcom.com) of the Organizing Committee.
