Scott is a Strategist on The New York Times Research & Development team, which explores how emerging technologies can be applied in service of journalism. Scott manages R&D's efforts on misinformation, advocating for publishers and readers in the creation of tools and standards for media provenance and synthetic media detection. Prior to joining The Times, Scott worked as a political consultant and pollster in US Presidential and Congressional elections and on misinformation detection and identity verification at Twitter.
