After mass digitisation, institutions, agencies and collectors of cultural heritage are looking at ways to enrich and unlock their archives using curation tools, linked networks to other data sources and advanced searchability via the semantic web. With large numbers of images remaining in archives and pending folders, which contain little or no caption information, these innovative tools will be essential to create value and accessibility. Visit this seminar if you are interested in some of the projects that are working on these tools, included those funded by the EU.
