CEPIC welcomes the adoption of the EU copyright directive as the recognition of the important role played by online sharing platforms in the online eco-system dealing with copyrighted material.
CEPIC will continue to work for a clear identification of images online with attribution of source and copyright holders. We will also monitor closely a number of elements in the Directive and minimise impact: Works of Visual Art in the Public Domain, Out of Commerce Works, proper reward of all stakeholders in the image value chain.
