CEPIC Speaker for Congress 2023 AI Day – Stephanie Pochon

Stéphanie has been promoting the contribution of the Creative & Cultural Industries (CCIs) to Europe’s growth and employment through advocacy, communications and coalition building for two decades. She fought for private copying remuneration at a time when the Commission’s leadership was planning to phase it out and set up a first coalition named “Culture FIrst”. She then defended content industries against tech giants at a time of increased attention to EU’s digital sovereignty by supporting music publishers throughout the copyright directive negotiations, and also advising visual arts organisations and leading European press agencies. Stéphanie has been running the Secretariat of Creativity Works!, a leading coalition of the creative and cultural industries in Europe since its creation in 2013. CEPIC is a member of Creativity Works! who promoted a safe, trustworthy and respectful online environment for consumers and businesses during the Digital Services Act (DSA) debate. Stéphanie is a Partner at Avisa Partners, a leading independent European consultancy. She was a lecturer in EU lobbying for five years at Science-Po Paris.
