Joe Naylor is the CEO and co-founder of ImageRights International, Inc., a leader in the field of copyright protection and enforcement for visual works. Joe began his career as an engineer, developing innovative imaging and communications technologies, before transitioning to the business side of the industry. His experience includes notable companies such as eFax.com, j2 Global Communications, and WebMessenger. In 2007, Joe began collaborating with professional photographer Ted VanCleave to address the challenges faced by photographers in the realm of online copyright protection. This collaboration led to the founding of ImageRights, which provides commercial photographers, photo agencies, publishers and brands with essential services for copyright protection and enforcement, helping them safeguard their work and recover compensation for unauthorized use of their images. Joe also serves on the executive board of the Digital Media Licensing Association, where he has previously chaired the Technology Committee and currently serves as both Treasurer and Chair of the Nominations & Elections Committee. As a thought leader in the industry, Joe regularly shares his insights on the implications of AI advancements in the visual content creation and licensing industries and the importance of protecting the rights of creators in the age of generative AI.
