Speaker of the Day: Mary Egan

We are pleased to announce Mary Egan as a speaker for the Metadata Conference which will be held on Thursday, 4th of June from 09:30 to 18:30 as part of the CEPIC Congress 2015 in Warsaw.

Mary started her career within BBC Worldwide’s Commercial Rights Dept, contractually clearing content with copyright holders, artists unions and agents later moving into international sales responsible for the Middle East & Mediterranean markets. In 1994 she became Business Director for BBC Worldwide Americas in New York, restructuring their Contracts & Clearance Division before taking up the position of Director of Programme Sales & Co-Productions for BBC Worldwide Canada Ltd. In 2002 she was promoted to Vice President of Sales managing BBC and Discovery Communications Inc, activities within the Canadian market. In May 2007 Mary joined Press Association Images as Sales & Marketing Director responsible for worldwide sales and marketing operations leaving the company in 2013 to start her own business development company MBE Media. She is one of the founding partners and Director for the IP think tank, MOCA - Ministry of Copyright, Cultural and Creative Assets.
