Dustin Plett is speaker for the CEPIC Congress seminar The Challenge of Crowdsourcing which will be held on 25 May 2016 from 14:00 to 15:00 in Zagreb.
Dustin Plett is the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at 500px. He officially became a full-time member of the team in 2012, but his work with 500px’s founders started in 2010 and he invested in the 2013 Series fundraising round. He was the first business-focused hire at 500px, where he developed early strategic partnerships and founded the commercial licensing business that is now the Marketplace. Dustin now leads the sales organization, business development and strategic relationships, channel partner and distribution sales, as well as a new product innovation team. Prior to joining 500px, Dustin was Director of Sales at ICUC which was acquired by iProspect in 2011 and now sits within the Dentsu family of companies. Dustin was responsible for sales and new business development up until acquisition. Upon ICUC’s acquisition, he worked on integrating ICUC into iProspect and its sister companies.
Dustin has an interesting background that includes founding and operating a welding and custom fabrication company servicing the energy sector in Alberta, Canada. He enjoys skateboarding, snowboarding and studying Mandarin. He is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and helping new companies understand sales processes.
