Hemant Metha, co-founder of IndiaPicture, will be speaking at the CEPIC Congress Seminar The Future of Keywording which will be held next Friday, 27th May from 14.15 – 15.30 in the Sheraton Hotel Zagreb.
Hemant belongs to a family of photographers and gets his lineage from his father and grandfather. His Grand Father along with his brothers founded Mahatta And Co (a photography studio) in Srinagar in the year 1915. After completing his graduation Hemant joined the ” Indian Express” as a staff photographer. He won the nation wide award on the theme “work” conducted by the Alliance Francaise in Delhi. Hemant also won a French embassy scholarship to study photography in France in 1995. Freelancing as a commercial photographer from the year 1995 to 2002, Hemant worked for clients like the Red Cross, World Bank, UNESCO, Microsoft, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Business week, Far Eastern Economic Review etc.
Hemant cofounded IndiaPicture with his Brother Dushyant in 2003. IndiaPicture is a photo stock agency and has been doing business with the top advertising agencies and publishing houses of India.
