Jim Pickerell, Selling-Stock.com, will be speaking at the CEPIC Congress Seminar Fair Pricing which will be held next week, Wednesday, 25th May from 15:15 – 16:15 in the Sheraton Hotel Zagreb.
For more than 25 years Jim Pickerell has been editor and publisher of Selling-Stock.com an online newsletter about the business of stock photography. As a photographer he sold his first stock picture in 1963 and he continue doing stock and assignment work until the late 1990s. In 1993 he and his daughter, Cheryl, established Stock Connection a general stock agency that provide photographers with a higher royalty share and greater control over the marketing of their work than was typical of most agencies at that time.
In 1989 he published Negotiating Stock Photo Prices, a guide to pricing hundreds of stock photo uses. The fifth edition was published in 2001. In the early 80’s Jim helped establish the Mid-Atlantic chapter of ASMP in the early 80s, and later served on the national board of ASMP for two years.
