The Teufelsberg (German for Devil’s Mountain) is the second-highest mountain in town. The 120-metre-high mountain is made of made of rubble, and covers an under-construction Nazi military-technical college. During the Cold War, there was a U.S. listening station on the hill, Field Station Berlin, used to spy the Eastern bloc states under Soviet control.
