In the last ten years, many companies have built their business model on the redistribution of copyrighted content, reaping the benefit of investments they had not made and without any remuneration to creative sectors. As a consequence, the value gap between those who create and those who solely distribute content has grow. Photography needs strong enforcement measures and a realistic possibility to enforce rights against platforms who have built a business model on the free re-use of copyrighted content.
The European Commission envisages legislation in this area and has launchd a Europe-wide and public survey on online platfoms. By answering the survey below, you will support CEPIC in submitting an answer.
