Vacation Package 2: Tour to Istria (3 days)

Enjoy the wonderful Istria with a guided tour that will take you to Rijeka, Opatja, Brijuni, Rovinj and Žminj.

This tour is for those who want to see as many places as possible in 3 days.  

Day 1 : ZAGREB – RIJEKA – OPATIJA

Meeting point in front of hotel. Departure at 12,00 to Rijeka. Rijeka is the administrative and cultural centre of the Primorje-Gorski kotar County and the third largest city in Croatia by population. The city is situated along the course of Rječina River and numerous nearby streams. Like numerous cities in the world, Rijeka carries the symbol of water in its name. You will have free time for shopping before a drive to Opatija to check in to a  hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: OPATIJA – BRIJUNI – ROVINJ

Breakfast in hotel. We will visit the town of Fažana and go by boat to the National park Brijuni. Meeting a local guide there will be a ride by tourist train. We’ll visit to the remains of the Roman villa rustica from the I century B.C. in the bay of Verige. There will also be a trip to the safari park which breeds a number of animals including: zebra, Somali sheep, zebu (the holy east Indian humped ox), dromedary, llama and elephant. The tour also visits the archaeological museum located in the Citadel building from the XVI century and the Church of St. Germain with a permanent exhibition of copies of 

frescoes and Glagolitic writings from Istra.Drive to Rovinj to check in to a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: ROVINJ – ŽMINJ – ZAGREB

Breakfast in hotel. Located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula, it is a popular tourist resort and an active fishing port. Istriot, a Romance language once widely spoken in this part of Istria, is still spoken by some of the residents. The town is officially bilingual, Italian and Croatian, hence both town names are equally used. You will have free time to explore the city a drive to Žminj where we will visit a brand new cheese factory where cheese is produced by a local family. Back to Zagreb.

Departure: Sheraton Zagreb Hotel (Congress venue) on Saturday, 28 May at 12:00. 
Price per person in single room: 313€ (30 person group), 387€ (15 person group)   
Price per person in double room: 238€ (30 person group), 313€ (15 person group)

Bed and breakfast for two nights in 3* hotel
Transportation for the tour duration in minivan or bus (depending on group size)
Tour leader in bus during the entire trip
