Paul Seheult, PICSEL CEO, will be speaking at the seminar “What the Future Holds for Picture Agencies: Emerging Revenues from Collecting Societies”. The seminar is part of the CEPIC Congress Programme and will be held on 15th June 2017 from 14:00h to 15:30h in Berlin at the Martim ProArte Hotel.
Paul Seheult is the CEO of PICSEL, the new Collecting Society for Visual Artists in the UK. PICSEL, the Picture Industry Collecting Society for Effective Licensing, was created following an unanimous vote at BAPLA’s 2015 AGM to create a new CMO and offer an alternative for right holders. In April 2016 the EU CRM Directive was enacted into UK Law in which competition and choice of representation for right holders was enshrined. Paul owns several picture libraries and has been a BAPLA Director for 15 years.
