Archived: CEPIC Speaker for Congress 2023 AI day – Sam Minelli

Sam Habibi Minelli is an electronic engineer graduated in Padua (Italy), he worked for over 10 years as research and product project manager at the F.lli Alinari photographic Archives in Florence (in the sectors of cataloguing, digital rights management, new photographic campaigns, market and business intelligence, technology innovation). He has collaborated with numerous international research organizations, contributed to the activities for the definition of digital standards (JPEG, JPEG2000, IPTC) and European cultural fruition and dissemination systems (in particular: Europeana.eu). He has been carrying out training activities at the 24ORE Business School -Il Sole 24 ORE (for more than 10 years), Treccani Accademia (formerly Giunti Accademy), RCS Academy, IED in the domain of innovation for cultural heritage and creative industries. He lectured about AI and data quality at BPER and UniCredit banks professional courses. He carries advisory activities as an independent expert with the duties of evaluator, rapporteur, reviewer for the Research Executive Agency (REA) and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission for his expertise in AI applied to creative industries. He is responsible for tenders, research funding and international partnerships at the company GruppoMeta (GruppoMeta is part of the ETT / SCAI Group, and Talia): a leading ICT company based in Italy and developing platforms integrating machine learning and NLP algorithms applied to the educational publishing, creative industries and cultural heritage sectors (content production, archiving, cataloguing, knowledge exploration and management, user interaction and behavior, learning retention).
