Yordanka Ivanova is a Legal and Policy Officer in the European Commission in the unit responsible for AI Policy Development and Coordination. She is a member of the legal team who has drafted the Commission proposal for a Regulation on AI and who follows now the negotiations with the Council and the European Parliament. Before joining the Commission, Yordanka worked as a researcher and attorney-at-law, advising companies on EU regulations, including in the area of data protection, consumer protection, digital services, financial services, cybersecurity and copyright.
