Holder of three postgraduate degrees (Aix-en-Provence and Assas law universities), Christophe Walter-Petit began his career in the United States where he worked for 5 years for the American subsidiary of a publishing group. After various positions in international companies, he took over the legal management of Numéricâble when this company was still owned by Vivendi Universal. After a stint at Radio France Internationale, he joined AFP in 2012. Very involved in the implementation of related rights for the benefit of publishers and press agencies that led to the European directive, he actively participated in the negotiation of an agreement on neighbouring rights between AFP and Google. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the neighbouring press rights collective management company since its creation.
