In 2000, Gilles Taquet and Christian Delannoy created Photononstop from the merger of two renowned photo agencies. In 2012 Biosphoto, specialising in animal and nature photography, joined the Photononstop group, as did the Roger-Viollet agency, a historical archive agency, in 2020.

It’s in 2022, on the occasion of an exhibition organized within the Roger-Viollet Gallery, that Gilles Taquet has the idea of selling certain artworks both as NFT and photographic prints.
